Unarmed to Armed SORA Upgrade Applicants need: - A current Unarmed SORA card, - A New Jersey State Police Armed certification number (usually given to you in an email). To get this, you need to log in to the NJSP website SORA page, choose "Returning Applicant", then click the "New Applications" tab (on the left side), and choose "Armed Security Officer certification" from the drop-down. Continue the application to the end. The class will be an 8-hour refresher. *You will receive an email and/or text a few days prior with directions and any further instructions.
